A private family committal service will be held for Mr. Williford Lamon Madden, Jr., age 58, of Jackson, Mississippi on Monday, July 16, 2007 at the Simsboro City cemetery in Simsboro, Louisiana. Officiating will be The Rev. Billy Joseph under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, Louisiana.
Mr. Madden was born on October 11, 1948 in Bastrop, Louisiana and passed away on July 13, 2007 at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Madden retired from Haynes International - Houston Division.
He was preceded in death by his son, Will Madden, III; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lamon Madden of Simsboro; his brother, Mr. John Madden of Ruston; and his nephew, Matt Madden.
He is survived by his wife, Merlene Madden; his daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Jay Cox and their children, Jay-Madden, Austin, and Claire; his bonus-daughter and son-in-law, Kari Meaux and Joey Johnson and their children, Eve, Caleb and David; his bonus-son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Katie Meaux and their son, Jared.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 15, 2007 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, Louisiana.
