MILLER FUNERAL PLANNED TODAY

Rites for Lafayette A.F. Veteran Set at Jena

Funeral services for Willard Orin Miller, 37, of Lafayette, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist church in Jena. Interment will follow in the Methodist Memorial cemetery.

Mr. Miller, a veteran of World War II and employe of an oil field service firm, died at his home in Lafayette Tuesday, apparently of a heart attack.

He was the son of Mrs. Susie V. Miller of New Orleans and the late W. O. Miller of LaSalle parish.

The body is in state at Kenner Stevens Funeral Home in Jena. Assisting in the services are the First National Funeral Home, Inc. of Houma.

Mr. Miller was a graduate of Southwestern Louisiana Institute, Lafayette, and was a veteran of eight years in the US Air Force.

He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Northside Baptist church in Lafayette.

Besides his mother Mr. Miller is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Waldemar S. Nelson of New Orleans and Mrs. George Morgan Cooper of Pasco, Wash.
