W. A. Carter Rites Pending
Services are pending at Nalley-Pickle Funeral Home for W. A. (Al) Carter, 55, for 28 years an employee of the T&P Transportation Co. Mr. Carter died Friday morning in a local hospital after a long illness.
He was born May 29, 1913, in Seagoville. He came to Big Spring in 1946.
Mr. Carter was a veteran of World War II.
He was married to Miss Adelle Meador, Jan. 12, 1946, in Sweetwater.
She survives him, as does his mother, Mrs. Nola Carter of Sweetwater, one brother, Jennings Carter, Hobbs, N. M., and one niece, Jennie Beth Carter, Dallas.
The family requests any memorial to Mr. Carter be a gift to the Cancer Society.
