Wm. A. McDonald

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Baskin Church for William A. McDonald, Route 1, Baskin, who succumbed Saturday morning at a hospital here after a lengthy illness. The Rev. James Shepard, the Rev. Claudie Jenkins and the Rev. C. W. Jones, Sr., officiated. Burial was in the Baskin Cemetery, with Masonic graveside rites.

Mr. McDonald was a deacon of the Baskin Baptist Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge at Winnsboro and of the Royal Arch Masonic Chapter at Mangham.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Annie McDonald, Baskin; five brothers, Marshall McDonald of Monroe, Asa McDonald of Bastrop, Albert McDonald of Crossett, Ark., S. T. McDonald, Baskin, and Mahier McDonald, Mangham; three sisters, Mrs. J. M. Slade of Baskin, Mrs. H. O. Mercer, San Angelo, Tex., and Mrs. C. M. Morehead, Harrisonburg.
