William Arden Southall, Jr.
Nov. 11, 1923 - Jan. 24, 2004

Funeral services for William Arden Southall Jr., 80, of Delhi will be held at 2:30PM, Monday, January 26, 2004 at Epps Baptist Church in Epps. Rev. Pat Lofton and Rev. Lee Piercy will officiate. Visitation will be held at Epps Baptist Church until time of services. Interment will follow in Epps Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.

Mr. Southall was a graduate of Delhi High School. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II having been discharged as a Sargeant. He owned and operated Southall's Grocery in Warden and was a retired Postmaster of Warden and ran a family farming operation. He was a longtime member of Epps Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, W. A. Southall Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Eubanks Southall.

He is survived by his wife, Vernice Penton Southall of Delhi, a son, Michael Arden Southall and his wife, Diane of Delhi; a daughter, Judy Lynn Stewart and her husband, Gary of Clinton, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Amy Lynn Southall Malone of Clinton, MS, Michael Todd Southall of Monroe, LA, Brandon Scott Southall of Delhi and Leslie Elizabeth Stewart of Brandon, MS; and five great grandchildren, Victoria Fallon Malone, Mikayla Elizabeth Southall, Creedon Matthew Southall, Noah Mackenzie Gagneaux and Ethan Nathaniel Bodry.

Pallbearers will be Michael Todd Southall, Brandon Scott Southall, Christopher D. Malone, Jerry Jay Simms, Donald Gwin, Donald ``Hoot'' Green and Hugh Green.
