Services for William Arthur Brincefield, 81, of 2614 First St., Brownwood, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home with Paul Wallace and John Shero, Church of Christ ministers, officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
He died at 5:15 a.m. today at Brownwood Community Hosptial [sic Hospital] after a short illness.
Mr. Brincefield was born Oct. 6, 1893, in Greenbriar [sic Greenbrier], Ala., and had lived in Brownwood 19 years. He married Minnie Douglas[s] in November, 1973, in Winters. He was a veteran of World War I, serving in the U.S. Army, a retired salesman and a member of the Austin Ave. Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Marvin Brincefield of Thailand and Wade Brincefield of Brownwood; a daughter, Mrs. Jerry Perkins of Brownwood; two brothers, Earl Brincefield of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Richard Brincefield of Grand Prairie; a sister, Mrs. Billie Nelson of California; and five grandchildren.
