W.B. Ball Jr.

JACKSON -- W.B. Ball Jr., 71, of 4429 Meadow Hill Road died Sunday at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. Services were Tuesday at Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church with burial in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

He was a former employee of McKesson-Robbins, and was a Realtor with Bailey & Bailey Realtors. He was past president of the Jackson Real Estate Board and the State Real Estate Board, and was a regional vice president of the National Board of Realtors. He was a 50-year member of Galloway Memorial Methodist Church. He was active in the United Fund of Jackson, past president of the Boy's Club of Jackson, a veteran of World War II and a retired Lt. Colonel in the Army Reserve.

He is survived by his wife, the former Jane Rumley of York, Ala.; two daughters, Mrs. B.J. Lester of Wilton, Conn., and Mrs. Ann Ingels of Hattiesburg; three sisters, Mrs. Walter R. Lee and Mrs. William G. Hemphill, both of Jackson, and Mrs. Robert L. Fitzhugh of McComb; and five grandchildren.
