W.B. Lofton Jr.

W.B. Lofton, Jr., 86, of San Antonio, Texas formerly of Nederland,Texas died Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at Regent Care Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

He was a native of Ruby, Louisiana and a 43 year resident of Nederland, Texas before moving to San Antonio, Texas 3 years ago. He was a retired Pumper at Gulf Oil Corportaton with 30 years of service. He was a member of Groves Church of Christ and a U.S. Army WWII Veteran.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 15, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Groves Church of Christ with Mr. David Echols officiating under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home Port Neches. Private burial will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2004 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.

Mr. Lofton is survived by 3 sons, William Edward Lofton of San Antonio, Texas; Fred Lynn Lofton of Cary, North Carolina; Rudy Kent Lofton of Tomball, Texas; 1 sister, Hazel Dammon of Port Arthur,Texas; 3 brothers, Harvey Lofton of Spring, Texas; Fred Lofton of Griffing Park, Texas; Johnny Lofton of Groves, Texas; 5 Grandchildren, Rhonda Galland of Lubbock, Texas; Daron Lofton of San Antonio, Texas; Lynette Smith of Cary, North Carolina; Brett Lofton of Oak Island, North Carolina; Rudy Kent Lofton of Beaumont, Texas; 8 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Skiles Lofton, 4 sisters, Minnie Smith, Willie Vae Williams, Beatrice Yles, Ruth Semple; 2 brothers, Herbert Lofton and Aaron Lofton.
