William Maples

CLAYTON -- Funeral services for William B. Maples, 77, of Clayton, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday with the Rev. C. W. Guice officiating.

Burial will follow in the Heard Cemetery near Manifest.

Mr. Maples died Sunday afternoon at his residence after a short illness.

A resident of Clayton for the past 12 years, Mr. Maples was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Edna Bennett of Natchez, Miss., Mrs. Mary Westbrook of St. Joseph, Mrs. Gladys Hale of Clayton, Mrs. Alice Licata of Natchez, Miss., Mrs. Ethel Teal of Waco, Tex., Mrs. Marie Nations of Clayton; two sons, William Bobby Maples of Monroe, and Melvin Maples of Clayton; 26 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
