William C. Brown, Sr.
William C. Brown, Sr., 89, of Jonesville, died Thursday, March 16, 2006, at the LaSalle General Hospital of Jena.
He was a retired oilfield laborer.
Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 18, at the Good Roads Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Brian Taylor and Scott Fletcher officiating.
Interment followed in the Heard Cemetery of Manifest under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
Survivors include three daughters, Annie Mae Jones of Garland, Tx., Darlene May of Jackson, Ms., and Merlene Neal of Jonesville; three sons, W. C. Brown, Jr., of Magnolia, Ark., Willie Lee Brown of Harrisonburg and Allen Dale Brown of Jonesville; two sisters, Melba Neal and Linda Hudnall, both of Jonesville; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Frankie Bass, Dewayne Bass, Brian Brown, H. J. Brown, Sherman Ford, and Cleveland Tolbert.
