William Cecil Deal Jr.
William Cecil Deal Jr., of Murfreesboro, formerly of Camden, Ark., passed away April 18, 2006, following a brief illness.
Born Dec. 16, 1916, the son of W.C. Sr. and Annie May Deal, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Hazel, and his sister, Virginia Deal Page. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his son, W.A. (Dixie) Deal of Springfield, Mo.; daughter Roseanne (Jim) Peppers of Murfreesboro; grandchildren Dr. Paul (Melani) Deal of Springfield, Mo., David (Elizabeth) Deal and Kate (Jay) Mehrhoff of Webster Groves, Mo., Jason (Laura) Peppers of Fayetteville, Ga., and Jonathan Peppers of Cumming, Ga., and great-grandchildren Drew Deal, Matthew and Leah Mehrhoff, and Marli Sims.
Mr. Deal served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was a 42-year employee of International Paper Company. Private graveside services will be held in Hamburg, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
