William C. Norcross, affectionately known to his family and friends as Bill, age 65, of Ft Myers, FL and formerly of Media, PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home after a long battle with ALS on Tuesday, July 19, 2011.
He was born July 4, 1946 in Lansdowne, PA to Nork and Mary Norcross. He attended Lansdowne-Aldan High School, where he met his loving wife, Susan. At a young age, he started his own business, Norcross Construction Company, which developed into a very successful custom building company throughout the suburban Philadelphia area.
Bill remained close with his friends in Pennsylvania and with his wife, shared a great love of boating in the Chesapeake Bay area and with the Ft Myers Beach Yacht Club. He and his wife were co-owners and co-operators of the Triton Marina on the Elk River in Maryland. Bill's love of boating grew over the years and he and his wife relocated to Ft Myers after retirement, where they were active members of the Ft Myers Beach Yacht Club. They were also very active in Boardwalk Caper Yacht Club and activities.
Bill continued to highly value his friendships in the Pennsylvania area, especially those with the Masonic Lodge in Prospect Park, and was deeply moved by their efforts to reach out to him in his final days.

Norcross, MD of Carrboro, NC and Laurie Susan Novosad, MD of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Kai and Anja, and Max William who was born just two weeks before Bill's passing to Laurie Susan; as well as step-grandchildren, Emma and Madelyn.
