William C. Lash dies; 44-year local resident
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 9, for William C. Lash, a resident of Redlands for the past 44 years, who died on Dec. 26 [sic 31]. He was 80.
Mr. Lash, a native of Kendelville [sic Kendallville], Indiana, had resided at the family home on Nevada street since 1931. His wife was the late Edna Mary Lash.
After coming to Redlands, Mr. Lash became foreman of the W. H. James Ranch, where he was employed for a number of years. The ranch later became the Stitt Ranch.
He was a member of Redlands Lodge No. 300, F. and A.M., the Royal Arch, Knights Templar and Copa Del Oro Chapter No. 142, OES.
Surviving are two sons, James M. Lash of Niland and Carroll C. Lash of Northridge; one daughter, Mrs. Monte (Eva) Blue of Fresno, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Jan. 9 at 10 a.m. from the F. Arthur Cortner Chapel, Redlands Lodge No. 300, F. and A.M., officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Memorial Park.
