Funeral services for William “Bill” Dampier, 58, of Monroe, LA were held 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Rayville with Dr. Eddie Wren and Clay Jordan officiating. Burial followed in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.
Bill was born April 9, 1955 in Rayville, LA and passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013 in Monroe, LA
Bill is preceded in death by his father, Jake Dampier; nephew, Jay Mercer; and his grandparents, Gus and Arlene Roberts and William and Vera Dampier.
Survivors include his sons, Bill Dampier and wife, Kerry of Houston, TX and Adam Dampier of West Monroe; granddaughter, Byntlee Dampier of West Monroe; mother, Margie Dampier of Rayville; sisters, Carolyn Mercer and husband, Claude of Rayville, Marilyn Herrington and husband, Robert of Rayville, Karen Sheets and husband, Randy of Point Comfort, TX, and Barbara Guynes of Rayville; special brother and sister, Clay and Linda Jordan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Clay Jordon, Jimmy Machnik, Philip Dampier, Kent Perry, Bobby Urban, Jerry Kelly, Glen Killian, and Robert Earl Herrington.
Honorary pallbearers were Monroe Mitchell, Charles Jackson, Robert McBroom, Bob Parks, and Rick Owens.
