W. David Cotney Died Sunday Nite at Riverside Hospital
Life-Long Citizen and Farmer Of Taylor County; Resident Of Taylor Mill Community.
Mr. William David Cotney, 52, died at the Riverside Hospital in Montezuma Sunday evening at 8:30 o'clock. He had been ill for several weeks.
Mr. Cotney was a life long citizen of Taylor county and since early life had been engaged in farming. At the time of his death he resided at Taylor Mill community.
He was born in this county May 16, 1886 the son of the late Mr. Willie and Mrs. Sallie Taunton Cotney.
Mr. Cotney was a member of the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist church.
Funeral services for the deceased were held at Mt. Olive church, Taylor Mill, Monday afternoon. Rev. John M. Cox conducted the funeral. Interment was at Mt. Olive cemetery.
Pall bearers were Messrs J. W. Windham, Carlton Morris, George Cathin, Leonard Windham, Douglas Cotney and Lee Posey.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Camilla Windham Cotney and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. E. M. Goddard of Goddard Funeral Home, Reynolds, was in charge of arrangements.
