CV Man Buried In Louisiana
Masonic funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday in Ida, La., for William Douglas Pine, 48, of 16122 Spruce in Channelview, who died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday while on a construction job in Texas City.
Pine was a pipefitter employed by M. W. Kellogg Construction Co. His death was caused by a heart attack, according to a report from the family.
He was a resident of Channelview seven years. Services were held Thursday night at the Boulevard Funeral Chapel in Houston with the Rev. Dan Stribble, minister of Channelview First Baptist Church, directing.
The body was then sent to Ida for the services Friday.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rexine Pine of Channelview; one son, William Douglas Pine Jr. of Oil City, La.; one daughter, Miss Bobbie Pine of Channelview; his mother, Mrs. Katie Pine of Oil City; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Pierce of Shreveport and Mrs. Ruth Wysinger of Vivian, La., and numerous nieces and nephews.
