Clark funeral is set

William D. “Bill” Clark, 87, of 1619 W. Juniper St., died Sunday morning at St. Mary's Hospital. A retired real estate salesman, he had lived in Roswell for 30 years.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Ballard Chapel with the Rev. Roland McGregor, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in South Park Cemetery under the direction of the Ballard Funeral Home.

Mr. Clark was born Feb. 7, 1892, in St. Peter, Minn., the son of Mr. and Mrs. William (Elizabeth Dundas) Clark, both now deceased. He was married March 13, 1966, to Ann Dunne [sic Dunn], who survives him at the home. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Teresa Dillon Clark, in 1960.

Other survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Walter of Phoenix, Ariz.; a stepdaughter, Marry Snider of Snyer, Texas; and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A Methodist, Clark was a longtime member and past president of the Roswell Lions Club, a past member of the Roswell Cemetery Board and a member of the Odd Fellows.

Pallbearers will be John Anderson, Sam Brieto, Conrad Cheatum, Aubrey Massey, Robert Newport Jr. and L.C. Stiles. Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Homer, Don Quesenberry, H.W. Sparkman and Bill Williams.
