William Emmons Services Set
CLARENDON, July 9 -- William Edward Emmons, 88, died at 11:20 a.m. Monday in Adair Hospital.
Funeral rites will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church. The Rev. W. R. Lawrence, pastor, and the Rev. J. V. Patterson of the First Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery under direction of LaGrone Funeral Home of Canyon.
Mr. Emmons was a retired farmer and had farmed 35 years in the Lakeview community. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Clarendon and the Woodmen's Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Fannie; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Nowlin of Abilene; three sons, Jim of Levelland, Jess of Spade and Buster of Clarendon; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
