Services for William Earl McDonald, age 55, of Buena Park, CA, formerly of Baskin, LA, will be 10:00 AM Saturday, April 5, 2003 at Baskin Baptist Church in Baskin, LA with Rev. Marion Spence officiating. Burial will be in Reagan Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral in Winnsboro, LA.
Mr. William Earl McDonald was born August 18, 1947 in Winnsboro, LA and passed from this life on March 31, 2003 in Buena Park, CA. Mr. McDonald was a dedicated father and grandfather. He was a member of Baskin Baptist Church. Mr. McDonald was a decorated Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War in two tours. In his later years he became a trucker which allowed him to travel across country which he enjoyed greatly. Mr. McDonald is preceded in death by his mother: Mary Lee McDonald and granddaughter: Whitney Bombardier.
Survivors include daughter: Misty Bombardier and husband Joseph of Red Oak, TX; grandchildren: Serenity Taylor of Red Oak, TX and Joseph D. Bomberdier of Red Oak, TX; father: S.T. McDonald, Sr. of Baskin, LA; sister: Elaine Wiltshire and husband James of Baskin, LA; brothers: Charles E. McDonald and wife Sue, S. T. McDonald, Jr. and wife Janis, all of Winnsboro, LA; nieces: Judy Wiltshire Pickering and husband Bo of Mangham, LA, Jennifer McDonald Tarver of Baskin, LA, Carol L. McDonald of Baskin, LA; great nephews: R.J. Posey of Mangham, LA, Jon Tarver of Baskin, LA; great niece: Sara Beth Tarver of Baskin, LA; special military friend: Billy Cook of Buena Park, CA.
Pallbearers will be Charles McDonald, Leanard Earl Garganis, Nolan Cowart, Gerald Ray Jones, Bo Pickering and Frank Reese.
