William Edward Thomason

CANTON -- William Edward Thomason, Canton, died Friday, March 10, 2000, at his home.

A native of Franklin Parish, La., and the son of the late Jack and Susie Dampier Thomason. He was a member of the Wings of Love Church in Candler and was a Navy veteran serving during World War II.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Thomason; and a son, James Edward Thomason.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Mattie Thomason; three daughters, Sue Ellen Woods of Candler, Jackie Carolyn Fontana of West Monroe, La., and Rhonda Renee Thomason of Canton; one son, Tommy Lee Thomason of Canton; one sister, Melissa Arno of Louisiana.; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
