DEQUINCY -- Funeral services for William Elbert Cooley, 91, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, in Hargrove Bible Baptist Church.
The Rev. Paul Nugent and Harry Methvin will officiate. Burial will be in Hager Cemetery under the direction of Snider Funeral Home.
Visitation is 9 a.m.-1 p.m. today in the funeral home and from 2 p.m. in the church.
Mr. Cooley died Sunday, July 8, 2001, in a local care center.
He was a lifelong resident of the DeQuincy-Ragley area. He retired as recreational park attendant with the Louisiana State Department after 20 years. He was a former employee of Newport Industries. He was a member of Hargrove Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Barrow of DeQuincy; one brother, S.A. Cooley Jr. of Lake Charles; two sisters, Lettie Barrow of Ragley and Dora Ogden of Orange, Texas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Hargrove Bible Baptist Church, the family said.
