William E. Jones

Services for William E. Jones were to be held today at 11:00 AM from Long Creek Baptist Church with the Rev Kendall Turner and the Rev. Jerry Turner officiating. Burial were to be held in the church cemetary with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arangements.

Mr Jones, 89, 411 6th Ave. died Thursday June 18, 1987 [sic Tuesday, June 16, 1987] at Meridian Nursing Center. He was a native of Wayne Co. and was a member of Highland Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Sara Elam, Mildred McDonald, both of Meridian, and Mary Lou Malone, Memphis, Tn. Five sons, Preston C. Jones, Lester T. Jones, and James A. Jones, all of Meridian, William C. Jones, New Orleans, La. and Joseph C. Jones, of Jackson. Two brothers, Lonnie and Alvin Jones, both of Meridian. Thirty one grandchildren, fifty nine great grandchildren, and eleven great great grandchildren.
