William Floyd Byrd

William Floyd Byrd, 70, of 500 Jackson St., died Thursday.

Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. today at the Proctors Chapel.

Burial was to be in old Greenwood Cemetery under the director of Proctors Funeral Home.

Mr. Byrd was a member of the Baptist Church, a Mason and a Shriner. He was a retired district supervisor for the Department of Finance and Administration.

Mr. Byrd made his home here since 1930.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Helen Powell Byrd; two sons, Vic Byrd of Camden and David O. Byrd of Los [sic Las] Vegas, Nev.; one daughter, Mrs. Connie Bordelon of Camden; one brother, Lloyd Byrd of Little Rock; two sisters, Mrs. J. C. Upton of Camden and Mrs. Mary Lee McDonald of Metairie, La., and five grandchildren.
