William Fred Lester

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Funeral services for William Fred Lester, 85, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2011 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Gilley. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the funeral home.

William was born on January 11, 1926 in Winnfield, LA to William and Myrtle Lester. He passed away on June 12, 2011 in Shreveport. William was a Yard Master at Union Pacific Railroad.

William was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Lester; brother, L.C. Lester; and sister, Doris Mae Bruner. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Louis Lester and wife, Cheryl, and Michael Lester and wife, Pam; daughter, Beverly Lester; grandchildren, Shannon Rasmussen, Chad and Allen Lester, Andrea Lester Bailey, Jill, Jacob, and Christopher Lester; brother, James Lester and wife, Nelda; sister, Bert Pearson and husband Edward and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chad Lester, Allen Lester, Christopher Lester, Jacob Lester, Brian Lester and Brook Bailey.
