McCarty Funeral Held At Polkville

Funeral services were conducted from the Polkville Baptist Church March 21, at 10: a.m. for William G. McCarty, 56, a resident of Polkville. Rev. S. F. Dennis of Philadelphia officiated at the service, and burial was in the Polkville cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Beatrice McCarty of Polkville, one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Pearl Vanderslice, six sons, James McCarty, U. S. Army, Germany, Gaines McCarty, Laurel, Raborn McCarty, U. S. Army, in Korea, Clayborn McCarty, Morton, Harry McCarty, Polkville and Louis McCarty, Polkville, three sisters, Mrs. J. F. Weaver, Harperville, Mrs. Pearl Mason, Jackson, Mrs. Nannie Bradshaw, Rayville, La., one brother, Johnnie McCarty, Polkville and three grandchildren.

The active pallbearers were chosen from friends, with Ott and Lee Funeral Home of Forest in charge of funeral arrangements.
