WILLIAM GERALD McCARTA, 49, of Lakeland died Saturday at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. A native of Plant City, he returned to central Florida three years ago from Brantley, Ala. He was a glazier and member of Calvary Fellowship in Plant City.

He is survived by his wife, Terry; two daughters, Pam of Plant City and Kim Hamilton of Lakeland; two sons, Chris and Duane of Lakeland; his father, Albert of Lakeland; a brother, Glen Arnold of Simpson, La.; and a grandson.
