William Goode Hudson
Retired Lt. Col. William Goode Hudson of Minter, AL passed away Friday, November 3, 2006 in a local nursing home at the age of 88.
Visitation will be from 1:30 -- 2:30 P.M. Sunday November 5, 2006 at Selma Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 P.M. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Dan Thornton officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing
He is survived by his son-in-law, Scooter Haugen of Selma, grandchildren, Eric A. (Amy) Haugen of Selma, Amy (Jimmy) Stucky of Auburn and great grandchildren, Mary Carolyn and Anna Drew Haugen of Selma, and Lowrey Stucky of Auburn.
Retired Lt. Col Hudson recorded the first air-to-air attack victory of the Korean War in his F82G. His plane is credited with shooting the first one down over Kimpo Air Field in full view of witnesses who were below.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Hudson, daughter, Mary Alice Haugen and grand son, Drew Haugen.
