William Hayes

Funeral services for William L. (Bill) Hayes, 64, of 315 28th Ave. E., who died Thursday in an accident at his farm, will be at 11 a.m. today at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. The Rev. Norris McDaniel and the Rev. J.P. Jernigan will officiate, with burial in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park, Memory Chapel directing.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie L. Hayes, Tuscaloosa; two sisters, Mrs. K. W. Yeager, Huntsville, and Mrs. N.V. Glassman, West Palm Beach, Fla.; five brothers, J.B. Hayes, Jacksonville, John A. Hayes and Andrew Hayes, both of Tuscaloosa, Azor D. Hayes, Woodstock, and David L. Hayes, Mobile; and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Steven Suggs, Karl Hayes Yeager, Micah Hayes, Joe Hayes, John Quarles, Tom Peters, Gene Davis and W.C. Watson.

Honorary pallbearers will include employees and former employees of Empire Coke Co., friends and neighbors of 28th Avenue East and the Vance community, and members of Elks BPOE No. 393.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
