William H. ``Sonny'' Davis
March 16, 1936 to April 10, 2005
Sonny lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, April 10, at the age of 69. He was born in Garrison, Texas, to Easter and Dettie Chandler Davis. Sonny was a successful businessman owning DAVECO Supply Co., located in Conroe, Texas, where he lived for many years.
During his years, sports was a big part of his life. In the 50s he ran track and played football. Later in life he enjoyed baseball, fishing and hunting.
Sonny is survived by his wife, Pat Masters Davis, Conroe, Texas; daughter, Tammy and husband, Jeremy Walters, Vallejo, Calif.; sons, Jeffery and wife, Stephanie Davis, Piedmont, Okla.; David and Angela Davis, Montgomery, Texas; five grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan and Madison Davis, Marshall Davis and Abbey Walters; parents, Robert and Dorothea Masters, Conroe, Texas; brothers, Easter Davis, Russell, Kans., George Davis Nacogdoches, Texas, Harry Davis, Conroe, Texas, and David ``Duck'' Davis of Crosby, Texas; sisters, Yvette Teer, Merlen Teer, Houston, Texas, and Sarah Teer, Huntsville, Texas.
He is preceded in death by parents, Easter and Dettie Chandler Davis; grandson, Taylor Davis; brother, Charles Davis; and sister, Yvonne Chaney.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Metcalf Funeral Home, Hwy. 105 West, Conroe, Texas.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home, Nacogdoches. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Friday. Interment in White Rock Cemetery, Shelby County, Center Highway.
