WHITTINGTON, WILLIAM HARDY

Died at 9 a.m. Tuesday at 4772 Lorraine St. at the age of 81. A native of Meadville, Miss., he was a resident of Denham Springs.

Survivors include five sons, Turley [sic Truly] Whittington, Meadville, Miss., Jessie Whittington, Denham Springs, Morgan Whittington, Greenwell Springs, Earl Whittington, Central, and D. C. Whittington, Port Vincent; four daughters, Mrs. Leona Perry, Springfield, Mrs. Estelle Causey, Meadville, Miss., Mrs. Clinton A. Causey and Mrs. Nellie Flynn, both of Baton Rouge, and one sister, Mrs. Frances Smith, Meadville. Other survivors include 27 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The body will be at Rabenhorst until 2:15 p.m. Wednesday. Religious services will be held at North Side Baptist Church at Denham Springs at 3 p.m. conducted by the Rev. C. T. Currter and interment will be in the New Denham Springs Cemetery.
