Dr. William Hollensworth Henderson
OXFORD -- Dr. William Hollensworth Henderson, 65, physician, died Monday at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, where he was a member. Waller Funeral Home has charge.
He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and completed residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, a Navy veteran, Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, American College of Surgeons and the American Fertility Society, a board member of the Oxford-Lafayette Medical Center and Central Association of Obstetricians & Gynecologists and chairman of Quality Assurance, Infection Control and Cancer Committees for Mississippi State Medical Licensure Board.
Mr. Henderson, the husband of Jane Brumfield Henderson, also leaves two daughters, Holly Henderson Mitchell and Jean Henderson Hurst, both of Jackson; a son, Dr. William Henderson of Oxford, and four grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society Mississippi Chapter in Jackson.
