William Howard Lolley
Howard Lolley, 65, of Shreveport, LA died Saturday March 18, 2017 after an 11 month battle with cancer.
Howard was born November 9, 1951 in Montgomery, LA. He was an entrepreneur, owning businesses in Southern Hills for over 40 ‘plus’ years. Mr. Lolley was the sole proprietor of Southern Hills Grocery and Hardware. Additionally, he was a Co-Owner of Southern Hills Child Care Service. Howard had a giving and compassionate heart of gold and never met a stranger. His wit and humor was loved by all.
Howard's life passions were his family and the outdoors. He was an avid Hunter and Fisherman with a deep love and knowledge of firearms.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Clara and Edgar Lolley; his special Aunt Dorothy Coleman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Ruth Ann; his children: Eric Lolley, Aaron Lolley, Megan Carlisle and her husband John; Grandchildren: Isabella Hughes, Landri Lolley, Bryson Lolley, and Braxton Carlisle; his siblings: Suzanne Mitton, Randy Lolley and wife Janet, Kathy King and her husband Buddy; along with several nieces and nephews.
Others that Howard loved that impacted his life are: his cousin—as well as his life long hunting partner, Charles Jones; Brandi Lolley; Maranda Horton and her daughters: Tiffany and Lainee; and his step granddaughter Lillie Ann Carlisle.
A family memorial service will follow cremation.
The family wishes to express their most sincere gratitude to: Kathy King, Buddy King, and Charles Jones, for all of their time, love, and compassion throughout this difficult time. “Y'all are all loved and appreciated beyond words!”
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made in Howard's honor to:
St. Jude Children's Hospital, or the National Rifle Association.
