William J. Starnes, Sr.

Died 8:22 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 1994, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 68, a native of Grayson and resident of Erwinville. He was a retired Exxon USA Marine Division employee and U. S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 4:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Matthew P. Lorrain. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Survived by wife, Eudell Jarreau Starnes, Erwinville; a son and daughter-in-law, William. J. Jr. and Roberta G. Starnes, Erwinville; a stepson, Winston Gary Durnin Sr., Baton Rouge; a sister, Rebecca Starnes, Caldwell Parish; two brothers, Otis Starnes, Pascagoula, Miss. and Bunyon Starnes, Ollie; and eight grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Vernon and Estelle Whitney [sic Whitten] Starnes; and a granddaughter, Rhonda Champagne.
