William Shoulders
William Jewell “Bill” Shoulders, 90, of Mesquite, Texas, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, April 2, 2010, in Dallas.
He was born Feb. 12, 1920, in Blodgett, Mo., son of William R. and Katie Withrow Shoulders. He and Margaret Strange were married June 16, 1965, in Shreveport, La.
Shoulders was a technical sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Barksdale Field in Shreveport.
He was a salesman for a chemical company in Dallas.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Shoulders; two daughters, Betty Kay Thomas and Debbie Davenport of Texas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Chloea and Myrtle Ethel; brothers, Felford Lyman, F.D. “Bud” and James Fredrick Shoulders.
The funeral was April 6 in Dallas Fort Worth Memorial Cemetery.
