William L. Walker

Services for William Lawson Walker were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Riser & Son with the Rev. Pete May officiating. Burial was in Cross Road Cemetery near Grayson.

Walker, 73, of Sikes died at 9:10 p.m. Monday, October 31, 1988, in Citizens Medical Center.

He was a native of Sikes and a retired employee of the state highway department. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church near Grayson.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Walker of Sikes; one son, William Lawson Walker, Jr., of The Dalles, Ore.; two stepsons, Dan McCarty of Grayson and David McCarty of Sikes; three daughters, Jan Abrams of Kaiser, Ore., Judy McKinney of Idaho, and Marlene West of Monroe; one brother, G. E. Walker of Sikes; three sisters, Majorie Parker of Olla, Hazel Ellerbee of Tallulah, and Virgie Kidd of Sikes; 21 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
