ARM AND HEAD ARE BLOWN OFF
William Wells was killed in a dynamite explosion last week in the Kelly mine in the Magdalena District, Socorro County. Wells while using his pick struck the cap of a charge in a drill hole which had been left by the night shift. The explosion tore away the miner's right arm and the top of his head, death ensuing almost immediately.

Notice of Appointment of Administratrix.
Notice is hereby given that at a special term of the Probate Court in and for the County of Socorro and Territory of New Mexico, duly called according to law and held at the City of Socorro on the First day of April, A. D. 1905, the undersigned was appoint[ed] administratrix of the estate of William Lee Stone, generally known as William Wells, deceased, and her bond was approved by the said Probate Court on the seventh day of April 1905. All persons are hereby notified to present any claims they may have against the said estate within the time prescribed by law.
