William L. “Bill” Prince
William L. “Bill” Prince, 74, passed away June 26, 2004, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary with Mr. Mel Martin of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in the Santa Maria Cemetery.
A Santa Maria resident since 1977, Mr. Prince was born July 6, 1929, in McCamey, Texas to Charles and Imogene Prince. Bill graduated from Conroe High School in Conroe, Texas.
Mr. Prince was employed in the oil industry for more than 34 years. He was first employed with Humble Oil Company and then Exxon, where he retired as a field supervisor. Bill was a member of the Church of Christ at Lincoln and Tunnell and enjoyed woodworking, camping and traveling.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty J. Prince of Santa Maria; children, Kerry O. Prince of Abita, La., Mark A. Prince of Lydia, La., and David W. Prince of Lake Isabella, Calif.; grandson, Jacob Wayne Prince of Lake Isabella, Calif.; great-grandson, Bryce Dieson of Hemet, Calif.; brothers, Charles A. Prince Jr. and Thomas W. Prince both of San Antonio, Texas. Preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Prince, and a brother, Bobby Jack Prince.
Viewing hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made in Bill's memory to the Church of Christ, 128 W. Tunnell St., Santa Maria, CA 93458.
Arrangements are under the care of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary and Crematory.
