WILLIAM L. RAU RITES MONDAY
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. for William Lloyd Rau, a vice president and director of the Dryades Savings and Loan Association and vice president of Crescent Cigar and Tobacco Co., who died Friday after a lengthy illness. He was 73 and a lifetime resident of New Orleans.
The services will be conducted from the House of Bultman, St. Charles at Louisiana Avenue, with services to follow at the First Baptist Church, 4301 St. Charles Ave. Interment will be in Metairie Cemetery.
Mr. Rau graduated in civil engineering from Tulane University in 1923. He was a life deacon of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Round Table Club.
Mr. Rau is survived by his widow, the former Oliver Anne Kidd, and two brothers, John Eblen Rau and Norman Rau.
