William Matthew Webb

William Matthew Webb, 60, a native of Wortham and a resident of Gulfport since 1910, died about 1 o'clock this morning at his residence on 28th street.

Mr. Webb, born July 20, 1903, was an auto mechanic. He was a Baptist.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ella Webb, Gulfport; six sons, Jack M. Webb, H. M. Webb and Charles Webb, Gulfport; Bo[b]by Ray Webb, Baltimore, Md.; Charles Herman Webb, New Orleans; and Joe Webb, formerly of Gulfport; one sister, Mrs. Mary Porterfield; and two brothers, Henry L. Webb, Long Beach, and Charles A. Webb, Mississippi City.

Friends may call at Riemann Funeral Home Chapel in Gulfport after 5 p.m. today. Time for he service has not been set but the funeral will be held sometime Tuesday with the Rev. P. S. Dodge, pastor of Providence Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
