W. M. McKeithen

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday for William Monroe McKeithen, 70, 312 Malvern St., Monroe. Officiating at the rites which will be held in the chapel of Peters Funeral Home will be the Rev. Troy Garrett with the Rev. I. L. Yeager assisting.

Burial will be in the Memorial Park cemetery.

Mr. McKeithen, a native of Caldwell parish and retired carpenter, died Sunday in the St. Francis Hospital after a long illness.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nan McKeithen, Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. James L. Wardlaw, Baton Rouge, and Mrs. James E. Eastwood, Midland, Tenn.; two sons, Edward C. McKeithen, Tulsa, Okla., and Aubrey McKeithen, Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Boyd, Batesville, Miss., Mrs. Carrie Meredith, Jennings, and Mrs. Marion Beavers, Decatur, Miss.; one brother, Guy Meredith, Urania; and six grandchildren.

He was a member of the Stone Avenue Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be L. F. Cummings Jr., Luckie B. Smith, Robert Moore, H. L. Waldroup, Joe Booles and John Salters.
