WILLIAM LOWREY DIES IN HERRIN
William Neely Lowrey, 79, of 407 Maple St., Zeigler, died at 2:30 a.m. today in Herrin Hospital.
He was born July 22, 1888 in Bibb County, Alabama, son of Fletcher and Alice Thomas Lowrey. He was a retired coal miner and member of United Mine Workers of America Local 9018; Zeigler First Baptist Church; and Masonic Lodge in Blockton [sic Blocton], Ala.
Mr. Lowrey leaves his wife, Ada; and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Bailey [sic Dailey] of Bessemer, Ala.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Vantrease Funeral Home, Zeigler, where friends may call tonight.
