William P. Herrington
Funeral services for William P. Herrington were conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from Hebron Baptist church with the Rev. Tommy Fant and the Rev. Bobby C. Davis officiating.
Interment followed in the church-yard cemetery with the Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was 75.
Death came suddenly at 8:30 Saturday morning at his Route 2, Taylorsville home. A resident of the community for the past five years, he was a farmer. He was a member of the Baptist church.
He leaves six daughters, Mrs. Marion Coffin, Meridian; Mrs. Virgil Maxey, Laurel; Mrs. Thomas Vinnison [sic Benison] and Mrs. F. C. Worsham, both of Taylorsville; Mrs. Charlie Quick, Memphis; and Mrs. Billy Knight, Oxford;
Six sons, James Herrington, Greenville; Charles Herrington, Hattiesburg; Leroy Herrington, Laurel; George Herrington, Ellisville; and Lamar Herrington and Homer Herrington, both of Taylorsville; 15 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
