WILLIAM PERCY RILEY SR.

WILLIAM PERCY RILEY SR., 85, Florence Boulevard, DeBary, died Friday, March 26. Mr. Riley was a retired labor leader and organizer for the coal miners and steelworkers unions. Born in Bibb County, Ala., he moved to Central Florida in 1981. A member of First Baptist Church of Orange City, he was also past exalted ruler of Elks Lodge 710, West Blocton, Ala.

Survivors: wife, Mildred; son, William, Osteen; daughter, Joanne Nadzon, Mount Dora; brother, Callie, DeBary; sisters, Erline Griffin, Birmingham, Ala., Julia Burtram, Decatur, Ala.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home, Orange City.
