William “Duddle” Richey, Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. William “Duddle” Richey, Jr. will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2010 in the Hineston Tabernacle with Reverends Web Robinson and Sonny Murphy officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Fellowship Methodist Cemetery, Hineston under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Hineston.
Mr. Richey, 78, of Elmer entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 in his residence with his family near his side.
William was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and served with the National Guard for seventeen years.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elsie Marie Richey; his second wife, Ethlyn Neal Richey; one grandson, Carl Andrew “Drew” Richey, Jr.; one great grandson, William Paul Richey; three brothers, J. W. Richey, Elbert Richey and Charlie M. Richey and four sisters, Roma Dee Whitmire, Laverne Cockerham, Unev Wright and Neva Lanier.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include three sons, Elson Ray Richey and his wife, Cindy of Manifest, Carl A. Richey and his wife, Debra of Hineston and Charles W. Richey and his wife, Shelia of Elmer; two daughters, Stephanie Scarbrock and her husband, Billy of Otis and Monica Pickering and her husband, Charles of Elmer; one brother, Kerry Richey of Manifest; two sisters, Lila Mae Shipley of Olla and Octavia Ainsworth of Enterprise; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Hineston Tabernacle on Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.
