William Robert Sikes

Funeral services for William Robert Sikes, 91, of Crowville, were held on Sunday, Feb. 12, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. James Bonner officiating.

He was a member of Crockett Point Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Mae Sikes and a son, W.L. Sikes. He died on Feb.10, 1989, following a lengthy illness.

Survivors include one daughter, Orelle Atkins, Crowville; two sisters, Ethleen Curry, Winnsboro and Ottice Stephenson, Baskin; and one brother, O. T. Sikes, Baskin; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ricky Lockridge, Gary Chapman, Larry Cox, James Mercer, Terry Lightsey and Artie Carter.
