WIlliam R. ``Bill'' Roberts
William R. ``Bill'' Roberts, age 95, of Winnfield, La., passed away Monday, October 27, 2008, at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield.
Mr. Roberts is the son of the late Daniel Roberts and the late Ida (Jones) Roberts and was also preceded in death by his wife Oleta Roberts.
He is survived by: four Daughters: Sue Crawford and husband Julius of Winnfield, Bobbie Lea Williams and husband Bobby of Shreveport, Elizabeth Brown and husband Jimmy of Jonesboro, and Kathy Roberts and family of Houston, Texas.
Mr. Roberts is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty great- grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Roberts will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends John Holland and Stephen Laughlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
Pallbearers will be: Jeff Kelly, Todd Kelly, Terry Williams, Randy Thomas, Paul Martin, and Rusty Box.
