BOB GRAY, 86 funeral held here Saturday
William Robert (Bob) Gray, 86 died here Thursday, July 3, and funeral services were held in Pawnee, on Saturday.
Born February 15, 1889, at Minco, Oklahoma, to Lon Gray and Amanda (Start) Gray. He married Stella McCarty, and they had 2 children Orville Gray, and Edna Candilora [sic Candiloro].
After the death of his first wife, he married Sadie Goins in 1915. They had one adopted daughter, Ann (Shields.)
Survivors include 2 daughters, Edna Candilora [sic Candiloro] of New Orleans, Orville Gray of Greeley, Colorado, and Ann Shields of Pawnee, plus 2 step children, Mrs. Eva Lemmond and Mrs. Lucy Sapp of Okmulgee.
Services were held Saturday, July 5, at the Poteer Funeral Chapel. He was interred in Highland Cemetery next to his 2nd wife Sadie.
Survivors include 2 daughters and a son: Edna Candilora [sic Candiloro] of New Orleans; Orville Gray of Greeley, Colo., and Ann Shields of Pawnee, plus 2 step daughters; Mrs. Lucy Sapp, and Mrs. Eva Lemmond both of Okmulgee.
He was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Services were help at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 5, at the Poteet Funeral Chapel with Rev. Glenn Ellis officiating. Interment was in Highland Cemetery under direction of the Poteet Funeral Home.
Bob's father is Lon Gray, and his mother Amanda Rosetta (Start) Barrett.
He is enrolled with the Chickasaw tribe.
