Mr. William Robert McCarty, 70, a native and resident of Waynesboro, MS died Friday, December 10, 2010 at his residence in Waynesboro.

He was retired as a Drilling Superintendent at Phillips Petroleum Company.

Mr. McCarty is preceded in death by his Mother, Ruth McCarty; Father, Albert McCarty; Sister, Emma Lee Lassiter.

He is survived by Two Sons, Bennie R. McCarty, Robert E. McCarty, Waynesboro, MS; Daughter, Tina E. Barefoot, Dayton, TX; Three Brothers, Aubrey McCarty, Waynesboro, MS, Rayburn McCarty, Waynesboro, MS, Cecil McCarty, Stringer, MS; Three Sisters, Layen Collin, Buckatunna, MS, Maudie V. Hartley, Millry, AL, Wilma Boykin, Waynesboro, MS; 6 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. McCarty will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, December 12, 2010 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro, MS.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 13, 2010 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. William Mills officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery, Waynesboro, MS.
