WILLIAM RUSSELL KERSEY JR.

Funeral services for William Russell Kersey Jr., 29, of 110 N. Cove Blvd., who died Sept. 1 in Vietnam, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard L. Scoggins and Rev. William A. Hearn conducting. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens with full military rites. The family has requested that those desiring to do so may in lieu of flowers send donations to the Wallace Memorial Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund for William Kersey. Chief Warrant Officer Kersey had been in Vietnam nine months on his second tour of duty. He was a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, two Army commendation medals for heroism and one air medal for heroism.

Survivors include: parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Russell Kersey Sr., of Panama City and one brother, Lt. Daniel Edwin Kersey, of the U.S. Army.
