William “Bill” Taylor

William “Bill” Taylor, 81, a longtime resident of the Coles community in Amite County, died Oct. 29, 2002, at Wilkinson County Nursing Center.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, and from noon Friday until services there at 2 p.m. The Rev. Bobby Greer will officiate. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery in Gloster.

Mr. Taylor was born May 28, 1921, in Franklin County. He was the son of Robert Lee Taylor and Leoma Cupit Taylor. He was a building and painting contractor.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martelle Taylor; and one sister, Edith Goodman.

Survivors include three sons, W.R., Robert and Marty Taylor, all of Gloster; six grandchildren, three nephews, and eight great-nieces and nephews, all from Miami.
